Terms & Conditions of Membership

1. Membership

• Membership of the Syd Hosie Racing Club is available to individuals aged 18 years or over.
• Membership is currently £34.99 per calendar month and is payable by recurring payment unless otherwise agreed.
• Membership has a minimum term of 12 months and will continue on a monthly basis thereafter unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
• Membership is personal to the individual member and may not be transferred, sold or assigned to another person.

2. Purpose of the Club

• The Syd Hosie Racing Club has been created to provide an affordable and enjoyable racehorse ownership experience.
• Membership allows you to follow selected racehorses trained by Syd Hosie Racing, receive exclusive content and updates, attend selected events and enjoy behind-the-scenes access to life at Sandhills Farm.
• Membership is intended as an experience and community for racing enthusiasts.
• Membership does not constitute ownership of any horse and should not be regarded as an investment in bloodstock.

3. Racing Club Horses

• The Racing Club follows a carefully selected team of National Hunt horses.
• These horses are leased to the Racing Club by Syd Hosie Racing or the registered owners.
• Legal ownership of each horse remains with its registered owner at all times.
• Members do not acquire any legal, beneficial or financial interest in any horse through their membership.
• Our aim is to maintain a minimum of three Racing Club horses wherever reasonably possible, although this may vary due to injury, retirement, sale or future acquisitions.

4. Membership Benefits

Membership currently includes:

• Exclusive trainer updates
• Behind-the-scenes content
• Stable visits (subject to availability)
• Morning gallops
• Race previews
• Race reports
• Exclusive photographs and videos
• Opportunities to apply for Owners' & Trainers' badges (subject to availability)
• Invitations to selected Club events
• Access to follow all Racing Club horses throughout the season

Benefits may be added, amended or withdrawn from time to time as the Club develops.

5. Race Day Access

• When a Racing Club horse is declared to run, members may have the opportunity to apply for Owners' & Trainers' badges.
• Badge allocation is controlled by the racecourse and numbers are often limited.
• Owners' badges cannot be guaranteed for every runner.
• Where demand exceeds availability, badges will be allocated fairly at the discretion of Syd Hosie Racing.
• Members attending race meetings must comply with all racecourse rules and dress codes.

6. Stable Visits & Events

• Stable visits, morning gallops and Club events may require advance booking.
• Places may be limited.
• Members attending Sandhills Farm must follow all instructions given by Syd Hosie Racing staff.
• Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
• Horse racing and stable environments carry inherent risks, and visitors attend entirely at their own risk.

7. Prize Money & Bonuses

• The Syd Hosie Racing Club has been created to provide an affordable and enjoyable racehorse ownership experience for just £34.99 per month.
• Our aim is to make the excitement of racehorse ownership accessible to as many people as possible without the significant financial commitment associated with traditional ownership.
• To keep membership at this affordable price, members do not receive any share of prize money, appearance money, breeders' bonuses, sales proceeds or any other financial returns generated by the Racing Club horses.
• Instead, members enjoy exceptional value through exclusive access, stable visits, race day opportunities (subject to availability), behind-the-scenes content and regular trainer updates.

8. Horse Management

• All decisions relating to the horses, including training, veterinary treatment, race planning, jockey bookings, retirement, sale or breeding, remain entirely at the discretion of Syd Hosie Racing and the registered owners.
• Members acknowledge that horse racing is unpredictable and that horses may be withdrawn, injured, retired or sold at any time.

9. Membership Fees

• Membership fees are payable monthly.
• If payment cannot be collected, membership benefits may be suspended until payment has been received.
• The Company reserves the right to amend membership fees in the future. Members will be given reasonable notice of any changes.

10. Cancellation

• Members may cancel their membership after completing the minimum membership term applicable at the time of joining.
• Cancellation will prevent future payments but will not normally entitle members to a refund of payments already made.

11. Member Conduct

• Members are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, owners, jockeys, racecourse officials and fellow members.
• Syd Hosie Racing reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where behaviour is considered abusive, threatening, discriminatory or likely to bring the Club into disrepute.

12. Photography & Media

• By attending Club events, members acknowledge that photographs and video footage may be taken for promotional purposes by Syd Hosie Racing.
• If a member does not wish to appear in promotional material, they should notify a member of staff before the event.

13. Privacy

Personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

14. Amendments

• These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
• The latest version will always be available on the Syd Hosie Racing website and will apply to all memberships from the date of publication.
